Mae – I just keeping thinking what if that was my daughter. How would I want her to be treated. I have plenty of disagreements with Palins views and generally everything she has said or done, but we have to draw a line. I think it’s called civility and we, including me, could all practice more of that.

Hey Emp, this is Mae, a fellow ADN blogger…
Good stuff about how to treat a politician’s (our Govenor) family. I suppose you know by now that I am a teen mother. Once a teen mother, always a teen mother, even though I’m nearly 50 years old.

Anyway, beside being a wonderful teen mother (he he eh?) I got a slew of some really wonderful foster kids that have passed under my roof as well. Paul, our oldest, is doing a compiliation paper of resources and/or opinions for future teens that are dealing with some tough choices. I’ve forewarded this page, via email, to assist Paul in formulating some more ideas.

Quyana in advance for being such a great resource for my family !

Yes, isn’t it a shame that so much time and money was wasted on Bill Clinton’s mind bogglingly stupid affair during his term? So, let’s leave Ms. Palin alone regarding her personal life particularly when it comes to her children.

Agreed.

Too much personal jazz makes its way into The Grande Politik. Too much mudslinging, pooflinging, off-topic nonsense. But, personal experiences, as you point out, shouldn’t prohibit legitimate questioning of political issues (such as the sex-education debate).

Well said all around. And hopefully those opposed to Palin’s views won’t be blindsided by their own lust to discredit her via personality/regional/cultural smears.
